UClub Terms and Conditions
Effective date: June 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the UClub mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by JD Media Company (“UClub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using UClub, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What UClub Is
UClub is a campus community platform for discovering clubs and events, joining organizations, managing memberships, communicating with club members, registering for events, paying dues, and helping student leaders, organizers, and admins operate campus organizations.
UClub is not a university, bank, payment processor, financial advisor, legal advisor, emergency service, or official record system unless expressly stated in a written agreement.
2. Eligibility
You may use UClub only if you can form a binding agreement with us and are not prohibited from using the Service by applicable law. UClub is intended for college, university, and campus community use.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use UClub only with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate account, profile, club, event, and payment information.
Keeping your login credentials and device secure.
All activity that occurs through your account.
Promptly telling us if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, impersonate others, or misuse the Service.
4. Campus, Club, and Admin Roles
UClub includes different role-based tools for students, members, club officers, organizers, and admins. Your access may depend on your club membership, officer status, permissions, verified status, campus affiliation, subscription or entitlement status, or admin approval.
Club leaders and admins are responsible for using roster, dues, messaging, forms, export, review, and management tools lawfully and appropriately. You may not use UClub to access, export, disclose, or misuse information about other users except as permitted by your role and these Terms.
5. User Content
“User Content” means content you or other users submit, upload, post, transmit, or store through UClub, including profiles, club pages, event pages, messages, photos, media, forms, announcements, feedback, role invites, and related information.
You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant UClub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, adapt, moderate, and otherwise use your User Content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and promote the Service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your User Content and that your User Content does not violate law, these Terms, the rights of others, or applicable campus policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use UClub to:
Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, impersonate, or harm others.
Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, violent, deceptive, or illegal content.
Share private information about others without permission.
Upload malware or interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service.
Scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse user data.
Circumvent access controls, role permissions, payment flows, moderation tools, or rate limits.
Misrepresent club authority, university affiliation, event details, dues, refunds, payouts, or admin status.
Use the Service for spam, phishing, fraud, unlawful payments, or unauthorized commercial activity.
Violate applicable law, app store rules, university rules, club rules, or third-party terms.
7. Moderation, Reports, and Enforcement
UClub may review, remove, restrict, or preserve User Content and account activity when we believe it may violate these Terms, applicable law, safety standards, platform rules, or community expectations. We may provide reporting, blocking, muting, and moderation tools, but we do not guarantee that all objectionable content will be removed immediately or at all.
We may suspend or terminate access, limit features, remove content, notify affected users or organizations, or cooperate with lawful requests when appropriate.
8. Events, Clubs, and Campus Activities
Clubs, organizers, and users are responsible for the accuracy, safety, legality, accessibility, and execution of their own events and activities. Event listings, RSVPs, check-ins, and reminders are provided for convenience and may not reflect last-minute changes.
UClub is not responsible for the conduct of users, clubs, universities, venues, advisors, event hosts, or attendees. Participate in events and clubs at your own discretion and follow applicable laws, venue rules, and campus policies.
9. Payments, Club Dues, Payouts, and Subscriptions
UClub may support club dues, payment records, connected club payout accounts, premium tools, and subscription or entitlement features. Payment processing may be provided by third parties such as Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, banks, and card networks.
By making a payment or setting up payouts, you agree to provide accurate information and comply with all applicable payment provider terms. Club officers are responsible for ensuring they have authority to collect dues or manage payouts for their club.
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated by the applicable club, university, payment provider, or UClub, club dues are non-refundable. The app may require you to acknowledge before checkout that dues are non-refundable and that leaving a club may require paying dues again to rejoin.
If premium tools, in-app purchases, or subscriptions are offered through Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds may be handled through the applicable app store or payment provider. We may change pricing, features, and availability prospectively as allowed by law and platform rules.
10. Third-Party Services
UClub may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Supabase, Stripe, RevenueCat, Expo, Brevo, Apple, Google, university websites, and club websites. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. UClub is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information. By using UClub, you agree that we may handle information as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
UClub, including its software, design, interfaces, logos, trademarks, branding, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Except as allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service or any part of it.
13. App Stores
If you download UClub from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace, you also agree to the applicable marketplace terms. The marketplace provider is not responsible for UClub, our content, support, maintenance, claims, or disputes, except where required by its own terms or applicable law.
For Apple-distributed versions of UClub, these Terms are between you and UClub, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for Apple-distributed versions and may enforce these Terms against you where applicable.
14. Updates and Availability
We may change, suspend, discontinue, update, or limit any part of the Service at any time. We may release updates that add, remove, or change features. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every device, or available at all times.
15. Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account through the app where available or by contacting us. Some records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy, including payment, legal, security, backup, de-identified, or shared club and event records.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the Service, fail to pay amounts owed, or if we discontinue the Service.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, UClub disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.
We do not warrant that club information, event information, rosters, dues status, payment status, notifications, messages, analytics, or admin decisions will always be accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, UClub and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, or unauthorized access, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, UClub’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to UClub for the Service in the three months before the claim or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
18. Indemnification
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless UClub and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your use of the Service, User Content, violation of these Terms, violation of law, misuse of club or user information, or infringement of another person’s rights.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice as required by law or platform rules. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
